Word Fighters Presentation

Word Fighters is the first Spanish A Capela Rap Batlles league.

We collaborate with the following National Battle Leagues:

• Word Up! Battles (Canada) – The first French rap battles league

• Rap Contenders (France)

• Spit MX (Mexico)

• Acapella Belgium Battle Contest (Belgium)

• Punch Ligue (Luxembourg)

• Fantsy Line Session (Madagascar)

Rules:

• Flips a coin: Thanks a coin toss, we know who will start the battle

• Don’t touch Me: During the battle, it is forbidden to touch your adversary

• Time: Draft Battle = 2 rounds of 1 minute by MC / Big Event = 3 rounds of 1 minute by MC

• Shock: If you shock during your battle, the judges may penalize you

• Respect: MC only can react, rap during their turn, not during the turn of their adversary

• Insult: A Talented MC doesn’t need to insult to show that he is better than his adversary

The Competition:

The competition is divided in three steps. First the MC has to pass a video selection, then the best ones will enter in the Draft. Finally the best ones of the Draft will be selected to participate in the Big Event.

• Videos Selection:

in the Word Fighters, MC has to send a own presentation video to demonstrate their rap level

• The Draft:

The objective of the draft is not to have a winner for each battle. The aim is to find the best MC, evaluating the flow, the rap, the punchlines, and the show of each competitor. Only the best MC can obtain a pass for the Big Event.

• The Big Event

During the Big Event the best MC of the Draft will battle against the best MC of the previous season. At the end of the Big Event the judges will choose the new MVP.

Finally, the videos of the battle will be uploaded in internet, so the public will be able to choose their audience MVP.
